Planned Giving Program
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
-- Winston Churchill
Planned Giving is a powerful philanthropic tool that can help maximize the personal
benefits of charitable giving. Whether through lifetime gifting or end-of-life bequests,
initiating Planned Giving as part of your estate plan helps to ensure that designated
assets are distributed in ways that are meaningful to you.
The Colorado BPW Education Foundation’s Planned Giving Program was established to
assist those who want to gift to the Foundation through estate planning. In 2000,
Carol Grever, a successful entrepreneur and major Foundation donor, announced the
creation of a Charitable Remainder Trust for which the Foundation is the sole beneficiary.
Other BPW members have indicated their intent that the Foundation will benefit from
personal and/or family end-of-life bequests.
Before deciding to participate in a Planned Giving Program, the Foundation encourages
you to consult with your estate and/or tax advisor.
