The women who received awards this year...

• are between 25 and 64 years of age,
• have as many as four dependents,
• have an annual household income as low as $478, and
• their marital status is:
  • nine are divorced
  • eight are single
  • four are married
  • one is widowed.

The typical recipient of a scholarship this year:

• is 36 years of age,
• divorced,
• with two dependents, and she
• has a household income of $11,000 per year.
